Sully (formerly Rocky)
Sully has adjusted very well to life on Marco, he is a 24/7 cuddle bug, loves riding on the golf cart.
However, he HATES thunderstorms.
This spring, noticed he had a “darker” color to urine. Thought a UTI and submitted a urine sample. Unfortunately, it was not … after multiple consults and tests, Sully had surgery to remove his very enlarged left cancerous kidney. We have been told it was a “complete “ removal, however, we are getting a lot of pressure from the oncologist to “just in case” chemotherapy. This is very very rare in a dog’s kidney and the experts really can’t give me any time tables or what really is the best plan… except to sign up for multiple treatments.
After the surgery, it was like I had a different dog… so happy, playful and full of life… even more than when we adopted him last summer. I want Sully to have a great quality of life, so … for now… we are just enjoying life.
And he is one big happy boy!! P.S. we had gotten him down to 90 lbs. before all this went down… so feeling better in that frame too 😊 Holly H. & Family
