Bopper (aka Jagger)

Sharon and I adopted Bopper in 2015 when he was just turning two. After Sharon’s passing in 2023, Bopper was a great comfort to me. Although he is turning 12 in June, he still has a pep to his step and a twinkle in his eyes. He loves a car ride to his favorite park for a good walk with loads of smells along the many paths we take. Before we even get to the car, he jumps up, twirls around almost knocking me down, and with his 3 legs jumps right into the back seat saying, “ready to go go go Auntie”!

He is a little creaky after laying down for prolonged periods and takes meds to help with that. That said, Bopper is always ready for any adventure. I (and Sharon) am so grateful to CILRA for the opportunity to have rescued 3 great Labs: Carlo and Lewis (adopted 2002 & 2003) and Bopper.
