Savvy

Meet Savvy — the sweetest 2 ½ year old shadow you’ll ever meet.

Savvy’s story tugs the heart — her owners had to move overseas and simply couldn’t take her with them. Now this gentle, loving girl is looking for a new forever home where she can be right by her person’s side. Savvy has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccines, and is good with children, and has lived with ages 7+. She’s also good with other dogs.

Savvy is 80 lbs. of pure love wrapped in fur. Polite, easygoing, and happiest when she’s following her people around the house (or curling right up under your arm or on your feet, because she’s sure she’s lap-sized). She knows her name and all her basics like sit, shake, come, and down and she gives the best soft kisses to show her affection. Oh, and she loves touching you. Sitting next to you isn’t enough. Those big paws find a way to reach out and touch your arm, foot, leg…whatever part of you she can reach.

She’s great on walks, has gone up to two miles without missing a beat, and while she might pull a little, she’s eager to please and learns quickly. She loves greeting visitors with a few welcoming barks and warms up in no time. Soon she’ll be leaning in for pets and sharing her sweet snuggles and kisses.

Savvy is crate-trained, but during the day, she likes to watch the world go by from the front door. She’s a curious neighborhood observer. When her people come home, her entire hind end wiggles with joy (tails are simply too small for that kind of happiness!).

Savvy loves a good game of fetch, living up to her retrieve name, and she’s really good at it! Plus, she takes squirrel patrol duties very seriously alongside her foster brother in the backyard, making rounds several times throughout the day.

Savvy isn’t just a dog. She’s a companion, a comfort, and a constant source of love. She’s ready for her next chapter… maybe that’s with you? Message us to meet Savvy and let her steal your heart. She’s has a lotta love to share. She’s fostered in Carmel, IN.

Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention. Keep in mind that dog ownership may include additional costs for training, grooming, and health care beyond annual vaccines and monthly preventatives. It’s a lifetime commitment!
