Charlie

Charlie is a friendly 10-month old Lab mix who came to CILRA from a shelter, so not much is known about his beginnings. He weighs 58 lbs. and will be neutered soon. He loves everyone he meets, big and small. He is good with children, other dogs and is also fine with cats, although some may not be tolerant of his energy level and excitement. He has mostly mastered house training, does not counter-surf or destroy anything in the house. Charlie does not like crates and does better if he is confined to an area in the house rather than being crated. When Charlie is outside he does tend to get excited and will jump up on people, which he is learning is not acceptable. Charlie loves being with the other dogs, but we think he would be fine as an only dog with family around him. He knows some commands, such as sit, come, and is learning others quickly. He doesn’t pull on the leash, but still needs work with that. He loves to run and play and would benefit from a fenced yard. Charlie is a great energetic young boy who loves to cuddle and be with his people. He is located in Greenwood, IN, just south of Indianapolis.
